Sometimes, to be rescued you have to be heard. The Storm is the loudest whistle NRS carry. The patented asymmetrical shape of the Storm whistle is designed to augment and amplify sound like no other. It even works underwater, with its sound audible up to 50 feet away. The focused 3150 Hertz frequency is the most readily heard tone above other environmental noises. A whistle is vital for signalling over the sound of surf and white-water. It's recommended not to attach the whistle to the zipper pull on your life jacket, as that can lead to accidental unzipping.
