Our review

The Rugali Washing Station, located in Rwanda’s Nyamasheke district, has quickly become one of the most renowned coffee processing hubs in the country. Rugali, which initially produced just one container, now receives coffee cherries from around 1,150 smallholder families and produces up to 30 containers each season. Located along the shores of lake Kivu, Nyamasheke benefits from a unique microclimate and a fertile volcanic soil, creating ideal conditions for specialty coffee cultivation. The combination of high elevation, ample rainfall, and dedicated farming practices, results in exceptional coffee quality year after year.
